Business analyst resume and interview help

A hiring manager reads a business analyst resume for the systems and processes you analyzed, how you brought conflicting requirements to agreement, and what changed once the work went live: a process step removed, a defect caught before go-live, a decision the business made on your analysis. The free review reads a business analyst, systems analyst or process analyst resume with checks written for these.

Questions

What do hiring managers read for on a business analyst resume?

In general, they read for the systems, processes and business areas you worked in, then for evidence of analysis that changed something: requirements brought to agreement, a current state mapped and a future state adopted, a gap or defect caught before go-live. Documents you wrote are the job; what the business decided or changed because of them is the evidence.

How does the free review read a business analyst resume?

Reed reads it with the business analyst checks: requirements named as gathered with no decision, a process mapped with no change, testing supported with nothing found or signed off, work with stakeholders with no decision, a figure with no starting point, and a list of tools. A degree such as a BA alone does not make it read the role; your job titles and lines decide. The checks are a draft that working practitioners still review.

Does Reed know whether my resume is true?

No. Reed is an AI and cannot know whether a line is true. It quotes your lines back to you and asks where the record is: a requirements log, a process map or a test record. You decide what the answer is and what changes. Nothing is added to your resume that you did not confirm.
