Product manager resume and interview help

A product manager is read by what moved, not by what shipped. A hiring manager looks for the product and users you owned, a metric with a starting point and its source, the problem you found, a trade-off you made and an idea you tested before building it. The free review reads a product manager or product owner resume with checks written for these.

Questions

What do hiring managers read for on a product manager resume?

In general, they read for outcomes over the list of features shipped: what changed for users or the business, with the value before and after and where it was measured. Then for how you found the problem, a trade-off you made and why, a roadmap tied to a business goal, a decision reached with engineering or design, and revenue or cost responsibility stated only if it was yours.

How does the free review read a product manager resume?

Reed reads it with the product manager checks: a launch listed with no outcome, a figure with no starting point, requirements gathered with no insight behind them, a backlog or roadmap owned with no decision, revenue or a budget claimed as owned, and phrases such as data driven. A product owner title is read with the same checks.

Does Reed know whether my resume is true?

No. Reed is an AI and cannot know whether a line is true. It quotes your lines back to you and asks where the record is: an analytics report, a research summary or a decision log. You decide what the answer is and what changes. Nothing is added to your resume that you did not confirm.
