IT manager resume and interview help

An IT manager is read by the size of what was run and by the decisions taken while running it. A hiring manager looks for the services, users and sites you ran, service levels with a starting point and a source, vendor decisions with your part in them, and a budget stated the way it was really yours. The free review reads an IT manager or IT director resume with checks written for these.

Questions

What do hiring managers read for on an IT manager resume?

In general, they read for the scope first: which services or systems you ran, for how many users and sites, and whom you reported to. Then for service levels with a baseline and a source, vendor selections, renewals or exits, change and incident practice with a record, projects delivered while services kept running, and a priority agreed with a business leader.

How does the free review read an IT manager resume?

Reed reads it with the IT manager checks: a role with no size of the services run, a figure with no starting point, a team size with no reporting line, a budget or savings claim with no type of ownership or baseline, and vendors or contracts named as managed with nothing about a decision. It does not count the absence of direct reports or of a budget as a gap, and never suggests adding them.

Does Reed know whether my resume is true?

No. Reed is an AI and cannot know whether a line is true. It quotes your lines back to you and asks where the record is: a monitoring report, a ticket system export or a contract file. You decide what the answer is and what changes. Nothing is added to your resume that you did not confirm.
