A 30-60-90 day plan for your next PM role
Start from the job posting, not from a blank page. Paste the posting and get a skeleton: what to learn in the first 30 days, two quick wins tied to the problems the posting names, and day 90 targets you set yourself. Or download the blank template.
Free 30-60-90 day plan template in Word and CSV
A blank plan with the three phases and the columns a hiring manager looks for: goal, action, the posting requirement it answers, your measure, and the date you agree it with your manager.
How the skeleton is built
- The first 30 days: the people and systems the posting names, and a check of delivery health before you change anything.
- Days 31 to 60: quick wins tied to the problems the posting states, such as improve, standardize or migrate.
- Days 61 to 90: targets written as [your target]. You set them; nothing is promised.
Your text
Nothing you paste is stored. Contact details are removed before the rules read the posting.
Limits
- It reads English text only.
- It reads the posting, not your resume, so no item is tied to your own experience.
- It does not write your targets for you.

Career Build ties every item to your own confirmed lines, adds up to four quick wins and four targets, and lets you edit, approve and download the plan. See the plans

Questions
What is the format of a 30-60-90 day plan?
Three phases, one for each month: learn, contribute and lead. The template has one row per action, with the goal, the posting requirement it answers, your measure and the date you agree it with your manager. Try to keep it to one page, so it is easy to discuss in an interview.
Can I edit the template in a word processor or a spreadsheet?
Yes. The .docx file opens in Word and other word processors, and the .csv file opens in any spreadsheet program. Both files are free to download, with no sign-up.
Is the plan builder free?
Yes. The skeleton drafted from one job posting is free and needs no sign-up. It reads the posting, not your resume, and leaves the day 90 targets for you to set.
